      Database Administrator
      who will join an international team in the Programme Services and Evaluation Department of WWF International in Gland, Switzerland. The Database Administrator's role is to maintain the new WWF Project Database (a web-based Oracle system) and provide support to users world-wide. This includes:

      Monitoring the quality of information and making sure that the database is kept accurate and up to date.

      Offering a world-wide helpdesk service on the use of the database.

      Provision of user training, both on-line and face to face.

      Assistance with identification, development and implementation of future enhancements to the database.

      Maintanance of the database and user-interface as well as frequent liaison with the out-sourced hosting facility and technical expertise.

      The successful applicant will have:

      -Technical school degree or equivalent.
      -At least two years experience in traditional relational database functionality.
      -Very good knowledge of Internet technology.
      -Excellent communications skills and a customer-service mentally.
      -Enthusiasm, flexibility and initiative.
      -Good spoken and written English.
